I don’t know about you, but whenever George and I set off on our travels, you can guarantee that, between us, we’ll have enough products to stock a small shop. Having just returned from an amazing trip to Japan, with two full toiletry bags in tow, next time I’ll consolidate the products we pack.

What’s more, travelling can also have an impact on your skin. Flights, early starts, late nights, a change in environment and climate can all add up to an unhappy complexion. And with the Christmas holidays on the horizon – along with the stresses of travel and overindulgence – there’s never been a better time to look after your, and your loved one’s, skin.

However much I love being busy, a hectic schedule catches up with my complexion. Dark circles, puffiness, and dull, dehydrated skin are all tell-tale signs of fatigue. And whilst on the go, our systems, including skin function, often struggle to keep up.

So if sharing is caring, why not indulge in some unisex skincare. After all, it doesn’t make much sense to take two of everything with you on your travels, or overstock your bathroom cabinet, for that matter. And so here’s my guide to cutting down the clutter, and getting gorgeous glowing skin for both him and her.

Mortar and Milk, Daily Face Wash & AHA Exfoliator (£22 for 100ml)

Mortar and Milk was founded in London in 2014, and when it comes to beauty products, their ethos is quality over quantity. This facewash – perfect for the beginning and end of each day – is specially formulated for all skin types. Fruit acids and seaweed gently removes any build-up of dead skin, while hyaluronic acid acts to deeply moisturise. What’s more, a fresh, sea salt fragrance makes it the perfect gender-neutral scent.

Malin and Goetz Facial Cleansing Oil (£30 for 118ml Available Space NK)

Packed full of grapeseed, avocado and olive oils, this cleanser is designed for normal/combination to dry skin types – ideal for a range of complexions. Deeply hydrating, as well as with lavender and eucalyptus to calm and balance, skin is left luxuriously clean and protected. Massage onto dry skin, add water to emulsify and then rinse clean.

Malin and Goetz Revitalising Eye Cream

Another wonder buy from this apothecary brand is their multi-benefit eye cream, which treats a whole host of concerns such as wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles. While firming peptides work to improve skin’s appearance, sunflower oil, sodium hyaluronate and panthenol gives this delicate area a gorgeous moisture boost.

Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream

A super strength moisturiser is a his and hers essential, and this non-greasy formula works wonders for all skin types. Camellia and rosehip oil drench your complexion in luxurious hydration, whilst aloe vera properties leave a soft and smooth finish. And for those of us who have problems with our pores, mayblossom rebalances natural sebum levels and improves the surface of your skin.

Aesop Coriander Seed Body Cleanser (£31 for 500ml)

This body cleanser’s spicy, woody scent is the perfect in-shower treat for both him and her. Formulated with black peppercorns and coriander seeds, it stimulates skin cells to leave you feeling cleansed and calm. As our complexion battles against the harsh, winter weather, this cleanser will leave you with a warm, fuzzy feeling.
