If like me you have embraced Christmas in a big way, your skin may be suffering from the dirty but delicious excess of over indulging. Too much sugar in the shape of mince pies, chocolate, booze, more booze, sausage rolls, and no exercise whatsoever and we still have the biggest party night of the year to get through! My face is definitely not NYE ready and the angry breakouts on my chin do not want to go out to party.
Thank goodness for Murad’s Rapid Relief Spot Treatment.
This little bad boy gets to work straight away and helps to calm the swelling, redness and inflammation within 4 hours. It contains high strength Salicylic Acid and I am not going to go into the science, as all you and I need to know is Salicylic acid is acne’s biggest enemy.
It doesn’t dry up the entire area of the skin like traditional spot treatments and targets only the pimple or blemish and quickly.
First cleanse your face, then hold an ice cube to affected area to help take down the swelling, then apply the clear gel, and when it is dry you can also apply your concealer.
Watch as this magically miraculous treatment clears away your angry eruptions before your very eyes. Continue to use until you are pimple free! Happy New Year!
I need some advise I am 45 and have increased amount of pigmentation is there any good moisturiser you could recommend I love your website such good advice
Hi Harjit, thank you for your message. Unfortunately I know first hand how frustrating pigmentation can be, as I have suffered with it for many years. I have tried so many different lotions and potions to lighten the areas. Luckily for me in the winter months. It does fade a lot and is easy to cover but as soon as I go into the sun it reappears. It has also moved around my face into different areas. Mine came from a combination of hormones ( contraceptive pill ) and sun and also from inflammation in my skin from eating too much sugar. SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic is good and must be used first thing in the morning, and then you must apply a SPF 50 everyday without fail. I like the brand Heliocare. There are some other treatments such as peels you could try, I could let you know more if you are interested. The main thing is to keep it covered from the sun to avoid getting anymore. I’m sorry you are suffering from it. As I said, there are more radical options available but they are quite expensive and also there is sometimes some down time due to redness or irritation. Hope this helps. LS xx
